Adoxography

is me and woe betide me! I saw a girl wearing these fabulous eggplant patent leather shoes, went home and tracked them down through Zappos. They had a name - Max Studio Dolly - and they were fairly expensive. I decided to wait until they went on sale.

stopped by Macy’s tonight - they have the black and the bone, no eggplant. Checked Zappos - same story. Piperlime, Endless, the online Max Studio store, all the same story. and while the bone is nice for spring and the black patent (which I have a well-documented love for anyway) looks like shiny jellybeans, I really had my heart set on the other.

I have these in red and wear them all the time. They’re a nice, comfortable, stylish platform pump. They are also on sale for $20 at Amazon in bone and brown and even in black, but those only if you wear a size 10.

The clothes are pretty nice, too

I love old movies, but somehow, had never seen Gilda or any other Rita Hayworth film, for that matter.

If you haven’t seen it, I would highly recommend it. Her initial appearance alone is totally worth it.
